    Fitness and sport
If you are overweight, losing weight can help lower LDL levels. Regular physical activity is recommended for everyone. It can help raise HDL levels and lower LDL levels, and is especially important for people with low HDL levels.
Eat a balanced, varied diet that is low in saturated fat
Avoid cholesterol-rich foods: butter, lard, cream, industrial pastries, cakes, pâté, brains, offal, etc. Avoid consumption of foods rich in saturated fats: sausages, dairy products, fatty meats (sausages, coconut and palm oils). Avoid excessively fatty preparation methods such as fried, battered, pre-cooked dishes and replace them with grilling, baking, steaming, boiling, roasting or en papillote. Reduce red meat consumption to twice a week.
List of foods you should boost in your diet
Increase the consumption of foods rich in fibre: vegetables, pulses, whole grains, etc. Increase your consumption of oily fish (salmon, tuna, swordfish, sardines) because of its Omega-3 content, a type of fat that increases HDL cholesterol and reduces LDL cholesterol. Eat raw nuts in moderation, as they are a rich source of heart-healthy fats that help reduce blood cholesterol.
